Royal Air Maroc has wet-leased a Sukhoi Superjet 100 from Moskovia for evaluation flights.

Moskovia director Yuri Basyuk reveals that one of the Russian airline's Superjets was on 20 December ferried from Moscow Domodedovo airport to Casablanca via Podgorica.

"Under the wet-lease agreement, Royal Air Maroc will tentatively operate the aircraft on its routes until March to assess the Superjet from fuel-efficiency and maintenance standpoints," says Basyuk.

Earlier this year, the Moroccan flag carrier disclosed plans to select a 100-seat twinjet for regional services following evaluation of several types including the Superjet, the Embraer 190 and the Bombardier CS100.
