Royal Air Maroc has signed a deal to have its four ATR 72-600s maintained by the Franco-Italian manufacturer.
The four-year agreement covers maintenance and repairs for line replaceable units and propellers. However, the Moroccan flag carrier will also use the manufacturer for "all of its maintenance procedures" on an exclusive basis, says ATR.
Components will be supplied from the airframer’s warehouse in Paris.
Royal Air Maroc introduced the 72-600 to commercial service after taking delivery of the first in August 2011. The carrier is "very happy" with the technical reliability of type, says deputy general manager Zouhair Mohamed El Aoufir.
ATR says it supports nearly 300 of its twin-turboprops: about a third of the in-service fleet.
