Royal Bank of Scotland has closed financing on an Air Astana's Airbus A321, which delivered last week.

The bank is the arranger of an export credit agency-guaranteed loan covering the aircraft, MSN 5351.

The Kazakh carrier says it used its own cash to cover the remaining 20% of the purchase price.

Air Astana firmed up its commitment for six A320s powered by International Aero Engines V2500s in June 2008. In 2011, it converted two A320 orders into the larger A321 model.

According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, Air Astana has deliveries scheduled through August 2013.
