Royal Jordanian names new chief executive

Royal Jordanian Airlines has named Hussein Dabbas as its new president and chief executive, succeeding Samer Majali.

Dabbas will take up the post on 1 August. He has been with the carrier for 30 years.

His career at the airline has included heading the marketing department and serving as general manager for the US operation.

Majali is leaving Royal Jordanian to become the chief executive of Bahrain-based Gulf Air.
