Russia's certification authority has issued a formal export certificate for Europe covering the handover of the first Sukhoi Superjet 100 for Mexican carrier Interjet.

The export certificate resolves "technical and operational issues" relating to initial deliveries of Superjets to the European customisation centre at Venice, and onward delivery to Mexico.

Sukhoi's civil aircraft division says that European, Russian and Mexican authorities have conducted additional regulatory work following the initial certification for the type.

"The work resulted in first export certificate issue by [Russia's Interstate Aviation Committee] for Europe," it adds.

Sukhoi says the first Interjet aircraft will be handed over "in the nearest future". One of Interjet's Superjets will be displayed at the Paris air show.
