Russian carrier Transaero is introducing two Boeing 737-800s, which will be the newest variants of the 737 in its fleet.
The carrier says the aircraft are configured with 176 seats, including eight in the business-class cabin.
Both aircraft - serial numbers 27980 and 27989 - were last listed by Flight's ACAS database as being owned by German vehicle DEFAG, and previously operated by TUIfly.
"These aircraft will be able to serve both domestic and international routes for Transaero because of their broad operational capacity," says the airline.
Transaero has previously operated the 737-700 under a lease agreement in the late 1990s.
