Russian air transport company Vyborg has had its operating certificate suspended by the country's federal authorities.

The airline, based in St Petersburg, is one of the few carriers to use the Ilyushin Il-114 twin-turboprop.

Federal air transport regulator Rosaviatsia has included Vyborg on an updated list of carriers with suspended certificates, although it has not detailed the reasons for its decision.

Other carriers currently suspended include Air Volga, for poor financial status, and Amurskie Avialinii for failing to comply with certification requirements.
