A Russian aircraft lessor has finalised and confirmed details of an order for 50 Boeing 737NG aircraft, which is valued at $3.7 billion based on list prices.
Boeing says the firm order by the leasing division of Rostekhnologii includes 15 737-700s, 25 737-800s and 10 737-900ERs, all sporting the recently unveiled Sky Interior cabin.
The acquisition plan will support the expanding route system of Aeroflot, including the six regional carriers coming under its banner.
The deal, which includes purchase rights for 35 more 737s, was signed on 17 September at the Sochi Investment Forum, Boeing says. The supervisor board of the state-owned Rostekhnologii has now confirmed the deal by approving the contract.
