Russia's S7 Airlines and Hainan Airlines started a codesharing arrangement on 17 October, covering routes within Russia and China, and those between the two countries.
The scope of the codeshare will cover services operated by Hainan Airlines from Beijing to Moscow Sheremetyevo, St Petersburg, Sanya, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen. On services operated by S7, it will cover routes from Beijing to Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk.
In addition to S7, Aeroflot’s subsidiary Rossiya also codeshares on Hainan’s Beijing-St Petersburg service.
Flightglobal’s FlightMaps Analytics show that S7 serves Beijing from 10 eastern Russian cities, while Hainan Airlines operates from Beijing to Moscow, St Petersburg and Irkutsk.
