RwandAir has financed its two newly delivered Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft with a loan from the Export Development Canada (EDC).
The Kigali-based carrier received the first aircraft in October and the second unit earlier this month.
RwandAir placed a firm order for two CRJ900s with Bombardier Aerospace in March this year. The transaction also includes options on two additional CRJ900 NextGen aircraft for 2013.
The CRJ900s replace a pair of CRJ200s that were sold earlier this year. RwandAir also operates two Boeing 737-500s and two 737-800s The carrier serves various East African community capital cities with daily flights as well as Johannesburg, Brazzaville, Libreville and Dubai.
