Ryanair to launch services from Liverpool and Bournemouth

Irish budget carrier Ryanair will launch new services from Liverpool and Bournemouth this summer.

The airline will operate flights from Liverpool John Lennon airport to Barcelona and Almeria in Spain from 25 March 2012. This is the first time that these destinations have been served by Ryanair, the carrier said.

Ryanair will also introduce flights from Bournemouth to to Carcassonne in France and Rhodes in Greece to its summer schedule.

According to the Innovata schedule, Ryanair will compete with EasyJet, which operates nonstop flights between Liverpool and Barcelona El Prat Airport.

No airlines presently operate flights on the Liverpool-Almeria, Bournemouth-Carcassonne and Bournemouth-Rhodes routes.
