Star Alliance carrier South African Airways is to withdraw its Cape Town-Durban service in favour of a codeshare with its low-cost subsidiary Mango.

The codeshare will take effect from 1 November, says South African Airways.

It states that the agreement will "ensure a continued presence" on the coastal route between the two cities.

South African Airways passengers will receive a voucher when travelling on the flight, which they will be able to exchange for in-flight catering.
