French MRO provider Sabena Technics has completed its first aircraft modification for Singapore-based lessor Phoenix Aircraft Leasing.

Sabena said it was contracted to carry out cabin modification and painting of an Airbus A310 recently purchased for one of Phoenix's Asian customers.

Phoenix said on its website on 1 February it had acquired an A310 (MSN 674), previously operated by Czech Airlines (CSA).

That aircraft is a 1993-built airframe, powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines, and had most recently been operated by United Airways Bangladesh (S2-AFF) and was owned by GA Telesis, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database.

The new operator is unknown.

Phoenix already has another former-CSA-owned A310 on its books (MSN 672) which is also operated by United Airways Bangladesh, according to Ascend.

Neither Sabena nor Phoenix could be immediately reached for comment.
