Turkish carriers Saga Airlines and Free Bird Airlines are planning to branch into the country's domestic market.
Charter carrier and wet-lease operator Saga plans to base some of its Boeing 737s at Trabzon airport and operate flights to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen, Ankara, Antalya, Izmir, Adana and Diyarbakir, according to the Turkish civil aviation authority.
Free Bird Airlines is also working on a domestic project, but has yet to announce any details.
Turkish charter carrier Sky Airlines last month announced that it would begin domestic services on 15 January.
Domestic routes in Turkey are currently served by Turkish Airlines, Anadolu Jet, Onur Air, Atlasjet, Pegasus, SunExpress, Izair and Borajet.
