Saab Aircraft Leasing (SAL) continues to find more applications for ex-Mesaba Saab 340Bplus aircraft on behalf of Norwest Bank Minnesota & Fleet Capital Corporation, the head lease entity.

SAL placed two aircraft (MSNs 407, 416) aircraft with Provincial Airlines, trading as Penair. Both were built in 1996 and 1997.

Fast growing Silver Airways took delivery of four Saab 340Bplus (MSNs 402, 414, 418, 434) subleased from Saab Aircraft Leasing in July and purchased another aircraft (MSN 447) from the lessor last week.

Saab Aircraft Leasing has now sold nine 340Bplus to Florida-based Silver Airways and has three additional on back-order to complete the carrier's order to buy 12 340Bplus by the end of the year.

The lessor also assisted Aerocentury in placing a Saab 340B (MSN 310) under a long term lease to Argentine carrier Sol Linéas Aéreas.

"We are enjoying strong interest in the 340Bplus aircraft and this is becoming a good year for us," comments Saab Aircraft Leasing president Michael Magnusson.
