Philippines-based conglomerate San Miguel is in discussions over a possible investment in Cayman Airways.

The company has already opted to invest in local carrier Philippine Airlines and has disclosed that it is in talks with the Cayman Islands government.

San Miguel says it is interested in jointly pursuing "potential areas of collaboration in aircraft operations".

It has not given any further details on the extent under consideration of any investment in the carrier, which operates a fleet of four Boeing 737-300s.
