Saudi Arabian Airlines is to wet-lease three Boeing 757-200 aircraft from the UK operator Astraeus, mainly for pilgrimage operations to Jeddah.

The aircraft will begin operating for Saudi Arabian this month and remain in service until the end of this year.

Astraeus says the agreement marks its second contract with the Saudi flag-carrier for the Hajj pilgrimage. "The Hajj is a hugely important religious event, and as such it is a contract we need to deliver with the utmost sensitivity and respect for the occasion," says Astraeus.
