Saudia Cargo has taken delivery of the first of two Boeing 747-8Fs, bringing its freighter fleet to 14 aircraft.

The first 747-8F (MSN 37562) arrived this month and is expected to be in operation by May. The second aircraft will arrive in June.

Both aircraft will be deployed on routes connecting Asia with Europe, the freight specialist says.

Saudia Cargo's freighter fleet also comprises four 747-400Fs, four 747-200Fs, four MD-11Fs and one Airbus A310-300F.

Boeing announced an order for two 747-8Fs by an undisclosed customer in November 2012.
