Saudia is on the hunt for additional long-haul aircraft in a further update to its fleet.
Director general Khalid Al-Molhem confirms that the airline is seeking "narrowbodies and widebodies".
He confirmed the plan at the Arab Air Carriers Organization conference in Doha, but declines to identify types.
Al-Molhem does not disclose whether the carrier will place orders during the Dubai air show this month.
Saudia has been undertaking a broad single-aisle renewal with Airbus A320s while placing long-haul orders for the A330 and Boeing 787 and 777.
