Shanghai Airport firm posts half-yearly profit of 835 million yuan

Shanghai International Airport has posted a first half net profit of 835 million yuan ($110 million).

The publicly-listed airport company says in a statement to the Shanghai stock exchange that net profit for the six months ending 30 June rose 12% year-on-year to 835 million yuan from 746 million yuan.

It says operating profit also rose 12% to 959 million yuan from 857 million yuan and revenue from the business rose 7% to 1.5 billion yuan from 1.4 billion yuan.

Shanghai International Airport company manages Shanghai’s two airports – Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport – which rank in the top four in terms of China’s busiest airports.
