China's Shenzhen Airlines has applied to start a Xian-Shenzhen-Kuala Lumpur service and a Xian-Shenzhen-Bangkok service.

Both services will be operated four times a week with Boeing 737 or Airbus A320 aircraft, says the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), which has to approve the application.

Shenzhen plans to start the services from February 2010, adds the CAAC.
