Singapore Airlines (SIA) has declined to rule out the possibility it may delay delivery of Airbus A380s.

The carrier says in a statement to ATI that it has no plans to delay delivery of the four Airbus A380s due for delivery later this year but "we don't discount the possibility of deferring future deliveries as we consider the options for our fleet going forward".

The carrier has six A380s in its fleet with another 13 on firm order according to Flight's ACAS database.

SIA announced in February it would be "decommissioning" 17 older aircraft in its fleet in response to the fall in passenger traffic.

Earlier this month it disclosed that its passenger load factor in February fell to 69.7% from 76.8%.
