Singapore Airlines has been identified as the customer behind a previously-listed order for eight Boeing 777-300ER twinjets.
Boeing said the Singaporean flag-carrier was behind the $2.4 billion deal which had been attributed to an undisclosed operator on 10 August.
"This order is part of our ongoing fleet expansion and modernization program, which enables us to offer our latest cabin products to our customers," said SIA chief Goh Choon Phong.
Singapore Airlines has ordered 85 Boeing 777s in total, including 27 777-300ERs. The type is powered exclusively by General Electric GE90 engines.
