Singapore Airlines will deploy Airbus A380 aircraft on a daily Singapore-Beijing service from 1 August.
SIA says that the 471 seat aircraft will replace two flights operated by smaller aircraft. This will leave it with three-times-daily services to the Chinese capital.
Beijing will be the Star Alliance carrier’s second A380 destination in mainland China, as it already uses the type on a daily service to Shanghai. It also operates twice-daily A380 services to Hong Kong.
Innovata schedules show that SIA competes with Air China on the Singapore-Beijing route.
