China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS) has allocated eight Airbus aircraft it ordered earlier this year to Sichuan Airlines.

The allocation consists of two Airbus A319s, two A321s and four A320s. The first four aircraft will be delivered from 2014, Sichuan Airlines said in a statement. This will replace the older aircraft, which it says are leased.

"The [eight] aircraft are from orders placed by CAS, which have already been announced and counted in our order book," said an Airbus spokesman.

Sichuan Airlines added that it "would consider buying the Airbus A320neos upon production or delivery of the first [A320neo]."
