SilkAir commences Singapore-Bandung service

SilkAir, the regional affiliate of Singapore Airlines (SIA), has commenced its Singapore-Bandung service with its inaugural flight to the Indonesian city leaving Changi Airport on 11 October.

The carrier is operating the thrice-weekly flights on an Airbus A319 aircraft.

According to Innovata schedules, SilkAir will compete with Batavia Air and Indonesia AirAsia on the route.

Bandung is SilkAir's ninth destination in Indonesia and the 37th in the airline's network.
