Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Company (GAMECO) has signed a five-year agreement with Indonesia's Batavia Air to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the airline's Airbus A330 fleet.
The agreement will cover support for airframe maintenance, including all levels of airframe checks, modifications and return checks, says GAMECO.
Batavia Air operates two A330s, according to Flightglobal's ACAS database.
"This agreement with Batavia Air is a significant step in our strategy to grow our international third party business at GAMECO and focus on key future platforms like the A330," says GAMECO's general manager Bill Norman.
The MRO firm is a joint venture between China Southern Airlines and Hutchison Whampoa Aircraft Investment.
