Singapore Airlines' (SIA) passenger load factor rose by 2.1 percentage points year on year to 78.2% in February.
The airline's passenger traffic as measured in RPKs increased by 5.1%, compared with February last year, which had one extra day because of the leap year.
The carrier's passenger capacity as measured in ASKs rose by 2.4%, while the number of passengers carried by the airline increased by 5.1% to 1.42 million.
Passenger traffic at SIA subsidiary SilkAir climbed by 16%, while its capacity rose by 15%. The number of passengers carried rose by 7% to 261,000. The carrier's passenger load factor rose by 0.5 percentage points to 74.4%.
SIA Cargo's overall traffic, as measured in freight tonne kilometres, fell by 14%, while its capacity declined by 15%. The cargo load factor increased by 0.8 percentage points to 62.7%.
The overall passenger and cargo load factor for the SIA Group rose by 2.6 percentage points to 69.2%.
