Singapore Airlines (SIA) will raise the overall capacity on its Singapore-Shanghai Pudong route during the winter season by 12%, starting 27 October.

The carrier will deploy Airbus A380 aircraft on five out of 28 weekly services, replacing the Boeing 777s used on the route, says the Star Alliance member.

Shanghai will be the 11th destination to be served by the widebody aircraft.

Innovata schedules show that SIA competes with China Eastern Airlines on the Singapore-Shanghai Pudong route.
