Singapore Airlines and Virgin America have signed a codeshare agreement.

Under the agreement that will kick in on 19 December, SIA will place its code on Virgin America-operated flights serving Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Philadelphia, Portland, San Diego, Seattle and Washington DC, from SIA's US West Coast gateway points of Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The two carriers had applied to the US Department of Transport for the codesharing earlier this month.
