Brazilian carrier Azul has firmed an option for 10 Embraer 195 aircraft in a deal worth $478 million.
The aircraft are slated for delivery between 2013 and 2014, said Paulo Cesar de Souza e Silva, Embraer's commercial aviation president.
"Azul is going through a period of rapid growth, and in the last three years has grabbed 12% of the Brazilian market share," he said.
The new E-195s will have 118 seats in a single-class configuration.
The order expands Azul's fleet of E-Jets to 67 and comes just four months after the carrier acquired 11 of the same aircraft.
