Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific Airways has signed a deal for Rolls-Royce's TotalCare support for its Trent 700 engines that power the airline's Airbus A330s.

The deal will cover the powerplants on 60 in-service and on-order A330s operated by the Cathay Pacific group, and will run for as long as the airline operates the aircraft.

“This contract will enable Cathay Pacific to realise the benefits of TotalCare on the Trent 700 as part of our continued drive to maximise aircraft availability and efficiency," says Cathay's engineering director Christopher Gibbs.

Cathay is the largest Trent 700 customer, says the engine manufacturer.
