The Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (Comac) signed three contracts with foreign suppliers for its C919 aircraft on the first day of the Singapore Airshow.

Two of the three contracts were signed with Germany's Liebherr-Aerospace for the aircraft's landing gear system and air management system. Comac signed the third contract with Moog for the aircraft's high lift system.

Liebherr and Moog are supplying the systems on the aircraft in partnership with local Chinese manufacturers.

The C919 is scheduled for first flight in 2014 and entry into service in 2016.
