Greek regional carrier Sky Express is considering ATR 42-320 turboprops or ATR 42-500s to replace three BAE Systems Jetsteam 41s earmarked for withdrawal from its fleet.

In March, the Crete-based airline took delivery of its first ATR 42: a -300, leased from Danish Air Transport.

It intends to carry out the next steps in upgrading its fleet after the summer season, says chief executive Agamemnon Kikerakis.

Discussions covering the additional ATR 42s are already under way, he confirms.
