Skymark Airlines is looking at different financing options for its upcoming Airbus A380 aircraft deliveries, according to a source.
The Japanese private carrier has orders for a total of six A380s starting in August 2014.
Last year Skymark said it was considering sale and leaseback financing on up to three aircraft of the type. But a source indicates that the carrier is also looking at export credit agency (ECA) support as well as commercial debt financing with local banks.
According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, Skymark has two A380 deliveries scheduled in July and December 2014, two in 2016 and the remaining two in 2017.
The Japanese carrier placed an order in February 2011 for four aircraft of the type equipped with Rolls Royce's Trent 970-84 engines. It added two A380s to its backlog at the 2011 Paris air show.
