Sister airlines SkyWest and ExpressJet will become Oneworld affiliates on the routes they fly under American Eagle colours, says the alliance.

SkyWest Inc. announced in September that its airlines would be providing regional lift on behalf of American Eagle, with destinations originating at the regional airline's Los Angeles and Ft. Worth hubs.

Oneworld said that SkyWest started operating flights from Los Angeles on 15 November under the agreement. Destinations include El Paso, Phoenix, Reno, Santa Fe, Salt Lake City, Tuscon and Albuquerque, as well as Monterey, San Diego, Fresno, San Jose, Santa Barbara and Sacramento California.

Starting 14 February 2013, ExpressJet will begin service as American Eagle on flights based at Dallas/Ft. Worth. It will be flying to Fargo, North Dakota and a new Oneworld destination-Beaumont/Port Arthur, Texas.

Each airline will use 11 Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft to service the routes. The aircraft will be painted with the American Eagle livery.
