SkyWest Airlines is seeking to renew its essential air service (EAS) subsidies for four cities it serves as United Express from Chicago O'Hare.

The St. George, Utah-based regional carrier is seeking a $1.55 million annual subsidy for Eau Claire, Wisconsin, $690,976 for Houghton, Michigan, $1.39 million for Muskegon, Michigan, and $2.03 million for Paducah, Kentucky from the US Department of Transportation (DOT), according to separate regulatory filings on 22 July.

SkyWest would operate 14 weekly frequencies on all four routes with 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200s.

Chicago-based United is a member of the Star Alliance.
