Skywest Airlines has agreed to lease four used Bombardier CRJ900ER aircraft.
The US regional carrier signed a letter of intent with operating leasing company Waha Leasing for long-term leases, CAO understands.
The CF34-8C5 engines-powered aircraft were manufactured in 2007 and were acquired by Waha Leasing through a 14-year sale and leaseback transaction with MyAir in 2008.
According to Flightglobal's ACAS database, Skywest Airlines operates a 242 CRJ aircraft fleet, among which 21 aircraft are 76-seat CRJ900s. Sister company Atlantic Southeast Airlines also operates 10 aircraft of the type on lease from Delta Air Lines.
