Operating lessor SMBC Aviation Capital has signed lease agreements with Japanese low-cost carrier Peach Aviation for seven new Airbus A320s.

The aircraft, which will come from the lessor's orderbook with Airbus, will deliver between December 2013 and November 2015.

Peach said in December 2012 that it has signed a letter of intent with an unnamed lessor for seven new A320s.

At the time Chief executive Shinichi Inoue said Peach would also consider the re-engined A320neo for beyond 2015, "in line with its proactive route development and future business expansion". The planning for further aircraft procurement will start in the beginning of fiscal year 2013.

Peach operates a seven A320 fleet all under operating leases from GECAS with eight-year terms, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database. Another three aircraft are scheduled for delivery through October 2013.
