South African budget carrier 1time Airline will increase the frequency of its flights to Zanzibar from 29 March.

The airline will increase its current flight schedule from two flights a week to three during the months of March, April, August, September, October and December.

"Our research shows a high demand in South Africa for low cost flights to holiday destinations in East Africa," says 1time's commercial director, Mike Bond.

According to the Innovata schedules, 1time is the only airline to offer services between Johannesburg and Zanzibar.
