Southwest Airlines plans launch three new cities from Denver starting 10 January that are currently served primarily by United Airlines.

The carrier is planning two daily nonstop flights to Boston and a single daily flight to Reno, Nevada and Spokane, Wahsington.

Schedules in the Innovata database show Southwest competing with United Airlines in all three markets, and also with JetBlue in the Boston market. On flights to Spokane United operates both mainline A320 family aircraft and CRJ700s flown by its Express partner SkyWest Airlines.
