Flight instructors at Southwest Airlines and its acquired AirTran Airways have reached a tentative seniority integration agreement.

The Transport Workers Union (TWU) 557, which represents 70 Southwest instructors, and the AirTran instructors' employee committee voted to pass the agreement to their respective memberships for a ratification vote. AirTran has 18 instructors, said Southwest.

Southwest closed on its acquisition of AirTran in May.
