Southwest Airlines will launch nonstop flights between Branson, Missouri, and four cities in March 2013.
The Dallas-based low-cost carrier will start once daily service between Branson and Dallas Love Field, Houston Hobby and Chicago Midway and once weekly flights between Branson and Orlando from 9 March 2013. The carrier says that it will assume operations of its subsidiary AirTran Airways at the airport.
Southwest has also extended its flight schedule between to 12 April 2013, which includes new nonstop service between Newark and Austin, Nashville and New Orleans, Dayton and Orlando, and Key West and New Orleans.
The carrier says that it will also add additional seasonal service to the schedule to accommodate spring break travel.
