Southwest names Craig Maccubbin chief technology officer

Southwest Airlines has appointed Craig Maccubbin as chief technology officer and vice-president of technology operations, effective 6 May.

Maccubbin will manage the technology operations of the airline, including all current infrastructure and services areas, and mobile platforms.

Prior to this, Maccubbin served as vice president and chief information officer of Spirit airlines, where he was responsible for information technology and systems.

He was also vice president and chief technology officer of Zeta Interactive, a digital marketing firm, where he worked with clients including US Airways, Mattel, JPMorgan Chase, Sony, Time and Warner Music Group.

Maccubbin also was vice president and chief technology officer at Black Entertainment Television.
