Southwest names new VP of technical services

Southwest Airlines has appointed Trevor Stedke vice president of technical services, effective 20 June.

Stedke will be responsible to manage engineering services and standards, quality, maintenance safety, powerplant and aircraft programmes in the position. His predecessor left the company earlier this year.

Prior to joining Southwest, Stedke was at FedEx for 15 years where he held various positions, culminating in the role of managing director of aircraft engineering planning and performance.
