Southwest Airlines plans to move up the start date for its new routes from Houston Hobby airport to Kansas City and Raleigh-Durham in response to customer demand.

The carrier will launch these flights from 22 April 2012, instead of 3 June 2012 as initially planned. Southwest plans to operate a daily flight on each of the two new routes.

In addition, the airline will extend its schedules for two routes in Spring. It will extend one daily non-stop flight on each of the Providence-Fort Myers and Hartford/Springfield-Fort Myers routes to 21 April 2012. These were originally scheduled to end on 9 April 2012.
