Southwest unit revenues up 1% in November

Southwest Airlines and its subsidiary AirTran Airways have reported an about 1% increase in passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) in November compared to a year earlier.

Traffic decreased by 1.5% on a 0.4% growth in capacity during the period. This resulted in a 1.6 percentage point decrease in load factor to 80%.

Southwest's passenger numbers fell 3.3% to 8.85 million passengers.
