Richard Spaulding has left GMT Global Aviation after nearly eight years at the lessor to concentrate on a consulting role.

Spaulding joined GMT in December 2005 as the senior director of aviation sales and leasing.

Prior to his position at the lessor, Spaulding worked as a consultant for Bombardier. He also worked as a portfolio manager and structured finance advisor for CIT Aerospace between 2003 and 2005.

GMT has now three Airbus A340-300 in its portfolio. One aircraft is on lease to South African Airways. The other two aircraft are in storage at TARMAC.
