Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet plans to launch a thrice-weekly New Delhi-Kabul service on 14 August.

Kabul will the airline's fourth international destination after Kathmandu, Colombo and Dubai, says SpiceJet.

Schedules in Innovata show that SpiceJet will compete with Air India, Ariana Afghan Airlines, Kam Air and Safi Airways on the route.

SpiceJet operates a fleet of 35 Boeing 737-800s and -900 ER aircraft, and 12 Bombardier Q400 turboprops.
