Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet will launch services between New Delhi and Sharjah, its second destination in the United Arab Emirates, via Varanasi and Lucknow.

It will operate thrice weekly New Delhi-Varanasi-Sharjah and four times weekly New Delhi-Lucknow-Sharjah services, starting 7 and 11 March respectively, says the airline.

The airline will use Boeing 737 aircraft on the Sharjah routes.

SpiceJet will be the only operator on the Varanasi-Sharjah route, and will compete with Air India on the Lucknow-Sharjah route.
